The Department of Ophthalmic Oncology and Radiology provides comprehensive ophthalmic care to patients suffering from various types of neoplastic diseases of the eye. The Department’s specialists use the latest treatment methods which allow not only to preserve the eye, but in some cases to improve its functional and cosmetic condition.
The department structure includes a radioisotope laboratory where radiation methods are used to treat eye tumor diseases. The establishment of the laboratory made it possible to provide using radioactive sources, which can significantly increase the effectiveness of organ-preserving treatment.
