The Department of Therapeutic Ophthalmology was created to developed new treatments methods for chronic inflammatory and dystrophic diseases. The most prominent directions of the Department’s practice are the anterior segment diseases, including: differential diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory, virus, infectious and allergy, acute and chronic keratoconjunctivitis, chronic blepharoconjunctivitis, dry eye syndrome, ocular rosacea.

We are glad to offer in- and outpatient treatment options for bacterial, Herpesvirus, allergy keratoconjunctivitis, corneal ulcers, graft disease and corneal distrophies. In addition, one of the important part in Department’s work is a management of inflammatory eye conditions as a preparation for the forthcoming surgery.

In addition to standard methods of treating therapeutic eye pathology, the Department’s specialists conduct clinical research in two main areas: inflammatory diseases of the cornea, as well as neuroophthalmology and physiotherapeutic methods of retina and optic nerve pathology treatment.
